Middle Township, NJ - Volunteers assist The Nature Conservancy in counting horseshoe crabs by moonlight along the shore of the Delaware Bay at Sun Ray Beach. The census is an important way to track the numbers of the species, which are threatened by harvesting and whose eggs are vital to the survival of endangered migratory shore birds.
