Atlantic City, NJ - Harrah’s executives wade through the water in tuxedos in order perform a wet ribbon cutting to open The Pool, a domed tropical paradise and a fancy new non gaming amenity for the casino. This completes phase two of three in the huge Harrah’s expansion project.

Long Beach Island, NJ - Surf City and Ship Bottom face the possibility of a summer resort’s ultimate nightmare: closed beaches. A beach replenishment project dredges up unexploded munitions from a bygone military era, and buries them in the new sand. Visitors and locals do what they can to deal with the problem… it should be noted that despite these initial fears, the beach is now open.

Egg Harbor Township, NJ - Tilton Road is temporarily closed as the Atlantic City International Airport conducts a test to refine a mandated emergency plan. This year, the realism of the mock crash is complimented by a real life car fire that ignites accidentally during the exercise.
Bridgeton, NJ - Residents and leaders gather outside South Woods State Prison in Cumberland County to protest a possible state plan that would send civilly committed sex offenders to a new facility in the area.
